DK Ravi's death: Now, P Manivannan demands a CBI probe
BENGALURU: After Additional Chief Secretary M Madan Gopal publicly demanding a CBI probe into the death of IAS officer DK Ravi on Wednesday , P Manivannan, his junior colleague in the IAS, too has felt that the current public mood was in favour of the CBI handling the investigations.

“If in one case the CBI does better, in another case, the CID may do a better job! However, in this case, for whatever reason, there seem to be more trust among the public on the CBI. In such circumstances, nothing shall prevent anybody from handing it over to the CBI,“ the 1998-batch IAS officer has written on his facebook page. He is currently working as MD of Urban Water Supply & Drainage Board.

“Being a servant of the state government, I can't question the wisdom of the state government. In a democracy , the govt is the repository of public hope and trust. It's the wisdom of the people. I am nobody to question that! With that caveat, and if there are no other bona fide reasons, the investigation should be given to CBI,“ he said.

Manivannan has voiced his opinion while some of his colleagues have signed on a petition sent to the Prime Minister through change.org asking for a CBI probe.
