Bengaluru: The Karnataka State Vokkaligara Sangha on Friday announced it will give Rs 10 lakh in cash to the family of deceased IAS officer DK Ravi, besides giving job to one of his family members at the Sangha institution.

The Sangha, which is an association of members of the Vokkaliga community, to which the deceased IAS officer belonged, will clear the debts of Ravi and provide all assistance to his family, said its president Dr Appaji Gowda.

The Sangha took out a massive procession in Bengaluru urging the government to hand over the case to the CBI. The BJP on Friday announced it will take a padyatra from Doddakoppalu in Tumkur district to Bengaluru on March 24 to press for a CBI enquiry and appealed to all parties The Sangha to join hands insisthas also saying that it is going to offered to be a non-political give a job to event. Doddakoppalu in Huliyurdurga hobli in Kunigal taluk is where the deceased IAS officer hailed from.

Meanwhile, Dr S Venkta Raghava, Head of the Department of Forensic Medicine, has submitted the post-mortem report to CID.
