State’s home department has asked the officers concerned to make proper security arrangements near important locations and religious sites.

District heads could keep an eye out for law and order: UP home department
NEW DELHI: Uttar Pradesh’s home department has directed all the district administrations to keep a close eye on law and order situation and ensure maintenance of communal harmony in view of the Bhopal incident in which eight alleged members of the banned SIMI were recently killed.

State’s home department has asked the officers concerned to make proper security arrangements near important locations and religious sites. Security around jails has been also tightened. Besides, Police would intensify patrolling in areas near Indo-Nepal border in the state. The Quick Response Teams would also be deployed at important locations in different areas.
