Disruption of Parliamentary proceedings unfortunate: Kamal Nath

Urban Development minister Kamal Nath today termed as "unfortunate" the stalling of parliamentary proceedings during the monsoon session.

NEW DELHI: Urban Development minister Kamal Nath today termed as "unfortunate" the stalling of parliamentary proceedings during the monsoon session and said Parliament was not about making demands without participating in debate.

"It (stalling of the monsoon session) is very unfortunate ...One of the most important functions of the Parliament is debate... This practice of not to debate but to demand... Parliament is not about this at all," he said.

The Urban Development minister was talking to reporters on the sidelines of a convention organised by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers.
