RAIPUR: Anti-Corruption Bureau has unearthed disproportionate assets worth over Rs 232.08 crore in raids at the premises of 64 officers and employees in the state during last five years, Chhattisgarh Assembly was told today.

"ACB has carried out the raids at the premises of 64 officers/employees in the last five years. During these actions, movable and immovable assets to the tune of Rs 2,32,08,05,187 were unearthed," Chief Minister Raman Singh stated in a written reply in the House.

The reply, to a question by Congress MLA (Durg) Arun Vora, stated that cases have been registered against all the officers and employees concerned.

"Of them, charge-sheet has been filed in court on receipt of approval by prosecution in two cases while the process of filing charge-sheet in six cases is underway after getting prosecution approval," stated the reply.

Besides, four cases are pending with the government and concerned department for prosecution approval.

"Moreover, as many as 49 cases are under investigation and three cases have been closed as the offence was established," the reply added.
