'Discuss education-related issues before taking decision'

KOTTAYAM: Stressing the need for reforms in Kerala's education sector, Congress leader from the state and Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland Governor, K Shankaranarayanan today said that decisions in this regard should be taken after discussions with religious heads and other leaders.

Inaugurating the Mannam Jayanthi celebrations at Perunna here, Sankaranarayanan said the Nair Service Society should go forward in the education sector with new ideas, vision and project. The strength of NSS came from its activities, he said.

He said NSS founder late Mannath Padmanabhan was able to act when the whole world opposed his ideas.

Earlier, NSS leaders offered floral tributes at Mannam Samadhi.
