Direct Benefits Transfer Scheme will be a big help: Bhupinder Singh Hooda

The Yatra will help people make the best of these schemes by informing them about the initiatives, Hooda said.

CHANDIGARH: Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today said the Direct Benefits Transfer Scheme will prove to be a big help for beneficiaries as the money will now go straight into their bank accounts, leaving no scope for leakages.

The scheme comes into effect from today in country's 20 districts, including Ambala and Sonepat districts of the state.

Speaking after flagging off the Vikas Sandesh Rath Yatra here, Hooda said the UPA government at the Centre has always given due consideration to common people's requirements while formulating its policies.

Hooda, who yesterday claimed his government had performed better than Gujarat on various parameters of growth, said Haryana has implemented a number of policies for the welfare of all sections of the society.

The Yatra will help people make the best of these schemes by informing them about the initiatives, Hooda said.
