Dinesh Trivedi attends Union Cabinet meeting

Chaired by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, the cabinet meeting was held to finalise the General Budget proposals for 2012-13.

NEW DELHI: Amid the uncertainty over his continuation, Railway Minister Dinesh Trivedi today attended the meeting of the Union Cabinet.

Chaired by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, the cabinet meeting was held to finalise the General Budget proposals for 2012-13.

Trivedi, whose party has demanded his removal for raising passenger fares, had attended the Lok Sabha question hour yesterday.

Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee had yesterday stated in the House that Trivedi has not resigned.

Besides Trivedi, other senior cabinet Ministers including Sharad Pawar, Ambika Soni, P Chidambaram, attended the meeting.
