NEW DELHI: Congress' Digvijaya Singh tweeted "Thank you, Uma" after BJP's 'Sadhvi' Uma Bharati on Tuesday refused to object to Singh's argument that the ground-breaking ceremony of the Ram temple falls on an inauspicious 'muhurt'. She even stated that Lord Ram and Ayodhya were "not BJP's property" .

"Ram ka naam aur Ayodhya BJP ki bapauti nahin hai, ye sabki ke hain, chahe wo BJP mein hon ya kisi aur party mein. Kisi bhi dharma ke hon ya kisi samuday ke, bharat mein hon ya dusre desh me. Jinki aastha Ram mein hain wo apni raay rakh sakte hain (Ram's name and Ayodhya aren't BJP's property. It's for everyone, including those in BJP and those in other parties...from people of other religions and communities to those residing elsewhere in the globe. Those who have faith in Ram can voice their opinion on the issue)," Bharti said at Ujjain when mediapersons asked her about Singh's argument as well as about Kamal Nath's support to the temple ceremony.

Singh tweeted a video clipping of Bharti's comments while thanking her. On his part, Nath said on Tuesday that 11 silver bricks, bought with donations collected from Congress workers, were being sent by him to the Ayodhya function.

Bharti said "one cannot adopt an arrogant attitude that they have a patent over this issue as there is a need to remember that we are mortals but Ram's name is eternal".
