Dhinakaran had emerged victorious in the recently concluded poll for the same constituency amid murmurs of cash distribution again. “We would like to begin our own party this time. The prayer is that we get the AIADMK AMMA and also continue with the Cooker symbol,” said a source close to Dhinakaran.
After current O Panneerselvam’s rebel against Sasikala when the latter decided to become chief minister, the AIADMK was split into two factions: AIADMK AMMA, led by Dhinakaran, and Puratchi Thalaivi Amma, led by Panneerselvam.
