Dharna politics day 4: CM Arvind Kejriwal writes to Narendra Modi
The sit-in protest by Arvind Kejriwal and three of his cabinet colleagues grew in intensity with deputy CM Manish Sisodia going on an indefinite fast. The protest entered its fourth day.

In a letter written to the Prime Minister on Thursday, Kejriwal listed out the various works that have been suffering due to the alleged 'strike' of the bureaucrats in the Delhi government. He claimed that three meetings regarding pollution have been cancelled till date.
"For the last three months, Delhi’s IAS officers have been on strike. They have stopped coming to meetings called by ministers. Because of this, the work of the Delhi Government has been affected adversely. Delhi's IAS officers are under the control of the LG and the Centre. Their transfer, suspension etc. are all in the hands of the Centre and the LG. That is why Delhi Government has been unable to end this strike,” Kejriwal wrote to the Prime Minister asking for his intervention.
The Centre too seems to have taken note of the stir as LG Baijal met Home Minister Rajnath Singh at his residence to discuss the matter. Sources said that while it is unlikely that the Centre will intervene directly, efforts are being made for both parties to find a consensus.
“Both parties have taken an extreme stand in this situation and the meeting was held to find a way to end this,” an official said.
On Thursday, officers in Delhi were in a bind with both the LG and environment minister Imran Hussain calling two separate meetings to discuss air pollution in Delhi at the same time. The issue was finally resolved with Hussain attending the meeting called by the LG .
