Device found in ACB chief MK Meena's office not a bug: Police
Delhi Police confirmed that a recording device was indeed found in the office of newly appointed Anti-Corruption Branch chief MK Meena

Delhi Police spokesperson Rajan Bhagat said, “The electronic device is not a bug.“ He added that police have not registered any complaint in this regard. Also, cops and sleuths from the intelligence wing have checked the device and found that it has no recording facilities. However, a probe is on to ascertain if the “microphone“ was connected wirelessly to a receiving device and whether it relayed audio real time.
Officials claim that the device belongs to a DCP rank officer in the ACB which he left in the office “by mistake.“ This claim is being verified as Meena's office was previously occupied by this DCP.The cops, however, want to verify why the device was left even by mistake in the pen box as it prima facie raises suspicion and in dicates “malafide intention“,a senior Delhi Police officer told TOI.
Any equipment used by ACB or any other police station is kept in proper storage and a record register is maintained. The device found in Meena's office has no record. His office was thoroughly examined and sleuths from intelligence agencies were roped in.“The office was debugged and there are plans to install anti-sting equipment to thwart any such attempts in future,“ a source said.
