BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis is expected to meet Maharashtra governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari on Thursday.

The agenda of the meeting is likely to be the future course of action and BJP's plan to stake claim on forming a government. Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde, who led the protest against Uddhav Thackeray, is most likely to accompany Fadnavis.

The fall of the Maha Vikas Aghadi government has cleared the decks for a BJP government in the state with the support of the rebel Shiv Sena MLAs.

Shiv Sena President Uddhav Thackeray announced his resignation from the position of the chief minister of Maharashtra on June 29. He also resigned from the Maharashtra Legislative Council.
