Devendra Fadnavis says Maha govt trying to frame him, other BJP leaders

Opposition leader Devendra Fadnavis has alleged the Maha Vikas Aghadi government was trying to frame him and other BJP leaders.

Fadnavis on Tuesday submitted several video clips to the acting assembly speaker, Narhari Zirwal, that allegedly showed police officials and public prosecutors involved in 'framing' former BJP minister Girish Mahajan.

Fadnavis read out transcripts from the video clips that allegedly showed how public prosecutors Pravin Chavan was talking about implicating Mahajan in a fake drug case so that he could be booked under the stringent Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act.


"Police officials are being misused by the government to implicate opposition leaders in fake cases," said Fadnavis in the state Assembly.
