MUMBAI: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today asked the state home department to prepare a comprehensive anti-terrorism policy, especially to prevent the youths from getting attracted to terror organisations.

Speaking at a three-day workshop on de-radicalisation and community engagement organised by the state police and Singapore's International Centre for Political Violence and Terrorism Research, Fadnavis said the police should instill confidence among all sections of the society.

"Youth should be prevented from getting attracted to terrorism. Prepare a comprehensive anti-terrorism policy (for this) and government will act positively on it," he said.

Fadnavis handles the home portfolio himself.

For all-round development, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi's slogan of `saab ka haath saab ka vikas' was important, he said.

"To maintain peace and harmony, the need of the hour is to nip the terrorism in the bud. For this everyone in the police force should be given a training," he said.
