'Development plan in consonance with aspirations of people'

The state government's policy planning for development is in consonance with the aspirations and needs of the people, asserted J&K Forest Minister Qazi Mohammad Afzal.

SRINAGAR: The state coalition government's policy planning for development is in consonance with the aspirations and needs of the people, asserted Jammu and Kashmir Forest Minister Qazi Mohammad Afzal.

Addressing a gathering of youth at Kangan in Ganderbal district today, Qazi accused the previous government for neglecting deserving areas on one or the other consideration.

Several projects like a network of road connectivity, modern and latest diagnostic facilities in all health institutions, infrastructure for educational institutions and improvement in power and drinking water were under execution in Ganderbal district to improve the socio-economic profile of the people, he said.

Attributing that unemployment was a big challenge to the government, he said, efforts were being initiated to tackle the problem by identifying more than 50,000 vacancies for educated unemployed youth which would be filled through fast track recruitment drive in a transparent manner.

Responding to demands projected by representatives of Nunar and Gutlibagh village, the minister said that Biloria Committee has already been constituted to redress the genuine grievances with regard to delimitation of blocks and other administrative units in the state.
