Madhusudan Mistry, head of the party's Central Election Authority, said, "From our side, we are ready" when asked when the Congress Working Committee (CWC) will accept the final date for the election of the Congress chairman.
"The schedule for the election of the Congress president should be out in the next 3-4 days. It would have the detailed schedule with the dates for filing nominations and withdrawal," a top source said.
Congressmen everywhere are wondering if Rahul Gandhi will accept the party's leadership once more. The Congress declared in October of last year that the election of the new Congress president will take place between August 21 and September 20 this year, following a major meeting of its working committee.
