Dera chief receives temporary relief

AMBALA: Ambala court has extended interim bail given to Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmit Ram Rahim Singh in three criminal cases till the next date of hearing on October 15.

The Dera, who has been provided Z plus security by the Haryana government, reached the court at 10 am along with some of the top functionaries of the sect.

Prohibitory orders were imposed around the court premises and Haryana Police had made elaborate security arrangements. Additional force had been called from neighbouring district to maintain law and order.

Meanwhile, thousands of Dera followers have camped at the Haryana Urban Development Authority ground near the court.
