Dera chief interrogated for a tenth time
An eleven-member-team of Punjab Police from Bathinda today interrogated Dera Sacha Sauda Chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh for the tenth time in connection with the case of hurting religious sentiments of Sikhs.

SIRSA: An eleven-member-team of Punjab Police from Bathinda today interrogated Dera Sacha Sauda Chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh for the tenth time in connection with the case of hurting religious sentiments of Sikhs.
A case under various sections of the IPC had been registered against the Dera chief in this connection on May 7 last year at Bathinda Police station.
In the past nine times he was interrogated within the Dera Sacha Sauda premises here and the police team always grumbled that proper interrogation was not possible at his own premises.
However, this time under court orders the Dera head was asked to come to the office of the local Superintendent Police for the interrogation.
Amid tight security the Dera chief was questioned for one and a half hours at the local Police lines.
No mediaperson was allowed inside. Besides, head of interrogating team Deputy Superintendent of Police, Bathinda, Surinder Pal Singh did not reveal anything on it.
However, Pawan Insan, a spokesman of the Dera, told media persons "the team time and again comes here to harass the Dera chief in connection with this politically motivated case against him."
He said the Punjab Police was bereft of any new query as they have already interrogated him nine times and their sole purpose was to "harass him."
The head of the Dera is facing two murder cases and a rape case in an Ambala court.
