Denied Nobel because of skin colour, says Ramdev
Yoga guru Baba Ramdev on Saturday ignited a controversy by claiming that he was denied a Nobel Prize because of his skin colour.

Commenting on the return of awards by writers and filmmak ers in protest against “ris ing intoler ance“ in the country , Ra mdev said: “Many incompetent and undeserving people seem to have got awards and some people are playing cheap politics on the pretext of returning their awards. The country's image is being tarnished on the international platform.I would have received a Nobel Prize for my contribution to society in the field of yoga but I have not, perhaps because I am black.“
Patanjali Yogpeeth member Sanjay Seth said Ramdev made the comment while interacting with the public at Morhabadi ground in Ranchi.
Jharkhand chief minister Raghubar Das was among those who attended the camp.
