New Delhi: Enforcement Directorate has carried out search operations at 13 locations across NCR in connection with a money laundering probe into alleged irregularities in health infrastructure projects during the previous AAP government in Delhi.

Among premises searched was the residence of former AAP minister Saurabh Bhardwaj.

ED launched a probe under relevant provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act on the basis of an FIR registered by the anti-corruption branch of Delhi Police in June this year against the former health ministers of GNCT of Delhi, along with private contractors and unknown government officials.

The operations are based on material collected during investigation and the allegations in the FIR regarding large-scale corruption, unjustified cost escalations, unauthorised constructions and misappropriation of funds in health infrastructure projects of GNCTD, people in the know said.

The search teams covered the 'residential premises of Bhardwaj, as well as offices and residences of the private contractors involved in the projects'.
