Delhi Violence: Schools to remain shut till March 7

According to a circular issued by the DoE, all annual school exams will also be postponed. Officials said that the situation is not conducive for conducting examinations in violence-affected areas.

Delhi riots: Schools in northeast Delhi to remain closed till March 7
In wake of the violence that rocked the national capital, schools in northeast Delhi will remain closed till March 7, Directorate of Education Examination cell announced on Saturday.

According to a circular issued by the DoE, all annual school exams will also be postponed. Officials said that the situation is not conducive for conducting examinations in violence-affected areas.

The schools were scheduled to open on Saturday for principals and staff to assess the current situation, officials of the Directorate of Education (DoE) said.


At least 42 people were killed while over 200 were injured in the violence that started between pro and anti-CAA protesters four days ago. Schools in northeast Delhi have been closed since the violence began.
