Delhi Polls: Reached Delhi for a pre-scheduled two-day campaign duty, not summoned by the Gandhis- Tamil Nadu PCC chief
As the factional skirmish between Tamil Nadu PCC chief and the P Chidambarakam camp in Tamil Nadu Congress has intensified after the recent show-cause notice to Karti Chidambaram.

Elangovan also said he has written to the party high command explaining why he thought disciplinary action should be taken against Karti Chidambaram for his recent remarks praising Narendra Modi. Maintaining he “stands by” his remarks on Jayanthi Natarajan’s exit, he also wondered why Chidambaram is upset with him since he “has not said anything against” the former finance minister.
When ET contacted him in Delhi on Sunday, Elagovan said, “the reports that I have been summoned to Delhi by Soniaji or Rahul Gandhiji after the reported complaint lodged against me by P Chidambaram is completely baseless. I am on a pre-scheduled two-day visit to Delhi as per the AICC order to me to campaign for the Congress in parts of Delhi. Since both Congress president and vice-president are busy with their campaign schedule, I have no plans to meet them before returning to Chennai.”
