Delhi polls: BJP to emerge as single largest party in Delhi polls, says Raosaheb Danve
THANE: BJP would win the Delhi Assembly polls hands down but the cadres should desist from resting on their laurels and work towards emerging victorious in all upcoming elections, Maharashtra BJP President Raosaheb Danve said.

Addressing party workers after inaugurating the office of Thane MLA Sanjay Kelkar here last night, Danve said that till recently the BJP was not wanted by anyone but following the stupendous victory of the party at the Centre as well as states it has gained immense importance and popularity across the country. Now, everyone wants to be associated with the party in some way or the other."

Danve said he is confident of BJP forming the government in Delhi by emerging as the single largest party in the polls.

"Do not be satisfied with the victory of the party at the Centre and states but work hard to make the party number one in the world by enrolling maximum number of members.

"Our target is to make at least 10 crore members. The target for the state is 1 crore which means each of the member should make at least 100 members to qualify for active members," Danve told party workers.

He said that partymen should not be satisfied with the victory at the Centre and State elections and the same should percolate down to civic and panchayat polls.

He also asked the partymen to concentrate on winning the forthcoming elections to Navi Mumbai Corporation and other civic bodies in Thane district.

"Take my case.. I was in the village panchayat and grew in ranks and now I have become the State President. Hence take it from me...in this party influence does not work...party workers should work selflessly if they want to gain any position," he said.

Danve also said that partymen should realise that whatever respect and importance they get is for the party and not as an individual, hence party should come first.
