Delhi Polls: AVAM makes fresh charges against AAP, shows 2 cheques of Rs 50 lakh donated by dubious companies

NEW DELHI: The AAP breakaway group AAP Volunteers Action Manch (AVAM) followed up with more charges against its parent outfit on Tuesday with regard to the Rs 2 crore donation that was transferred to the AAP kitty a year ago by dubious companies, but AAP sought to use the issue to their advantage by approaching the Supreme Court.

In a press conference, AAP Volunteers Action Manch members said AAP’s claim about the impossibility of conducting hawala transaction through cheque is untrue. They tried to prove this by producing two cheques of Rs 50 lakh each from the two firms which had donated the same sum to AAP — Goldmine Buildcon and Skyline Metal and Alloys. “We did this to prove that hawala transactions can be conducted through cheques,” Amit Kumar of AVAM said.
