Delhi poll result referendum against divisive forces: CPI(M)
JAMMU: Asserting that Delhi Assembly poll result is a referendum against "divisive forces" in the country, CPI(M) today said it sends a clear message to all those who "hobnob with communal forces just to share power."

"Delhi's decisive mandate rejects communal platform. The massive mandate given by the national capital to AAP is an occasion for the secular and progressive forces of JK to celebrate and rejoice", CPI(M) State Secretary and MLA-elect M Y Tarigami said here.

"In this historic mandate people have outrightly rejected the divisive and communal platform of BJP," he said.

In an obvious reference at the combination of BJP-PDP to form the next government in the state, Tarigami said, "This resounding mandate of AAP sends a clear message to all those who out of sheer political opportunism continue to hobnob with communal forces just to share power."

"It is time for every conscious and emancipated citizen to draw a lesson and reject the machinations of opportunists and turncoats", he added.

CPI(M) leader said that it is also time for PDP leadership to learn lessons as the people have started realising the "divisive and pro-corporate agenda of Sangh parivar."

"At least now, PDP should reconsider its decision to ally with BJP for government formation in the state", he said, adding, for the larger interest of our people and the secular ethos of the state, PDP leadership should not give a fresh lease of life to BJP and should also desist from providing it a chance to "legitimise its nefarious designs".
