Police received the mail yesterday following which it stepped up security around in and around the premises of highest court at Tilak Marg.

NEW DELHI: Delhi Police has received an email threatening a bomb attack on the Supreme Court, days after a death threat was made against apex court judge Justice Dipak Misra.

Police received the mail yesterday following which it stepped up security around in and around the premises of highest court at Tilak Marg.

Incidentally, Justice Misra is one of the three Supreme Court judges who turned down the final plea against hanging of 1993 Mumbai blasts convict Yakub Memon.

Police said the mail first landed in the inbox of a person, whose identity was not disclosed, who forwarded it to them.

The mail has been forwarded to a special cell, a police officer said.
