Abhijeet Dipke’s mother, Anita Dipke, in Hingoli, Maharashtra, alleges the family has been unable to contact him and says his grandmother’s last rites have been put on hold pending his arrival.

Anita Dipke, mother of Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke, on Sunday alleged that the family had been unable to contact her son, who remains in Delhi Police detention, and said his grandmother’s last rites had been put on hold pending his arrival, as reported by ANI.

“We have not been able to contact him... Delhi Police is lying. If he got the news (his grandmother's demise), he would have come immediately... we have put the last rites on hold for him,” Anita Dipke told ANI.

Abhijeet Dipke’s grandmother, passed away in Maharashtra’s Hingoli district on Saturday after a prolonged illness. He was detained by Delhi Police at the airport after arriving in the national capital from Mumbai to participate in the CJP’s proposed protest demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
