Delhi Police arrest 3 men, recovers over 1000 live cartridges
NEW DELHI: Special Cell of Delhi Police has arrested three persons and recovered over 1000 live cartridges from them, a development which could raise security concerns ahead of Republic Day celebrations where US President Barack Obama is the chief guest.

"We have arrested three men and recovered 1,020 live cartridges from them. The arrests were made from near Welcome metro station here," said Special Commissioner (Special Cell) S N Shrivastava.

Their interrogation has so far not revealed any terror angle but security agencies have taken this development seriously and taken precautionary measures.

Those arrested have been identified as Mohd Imraan, a resident of Sitapur, Sharik, a resident of Meerut, and Faheem, a resident of Uttarakhand. Further investigations are underway, police said.
