Delhi: Jagran in Trilokpuri, police keeping strict vigil
Police are on tenterhooks over a ‘jagran’ scheduled on Friday in Trilokpuri, the venue of Hindu-Muslim clashes in the last few days.

"It is too early to comment on that (the jagran). Things are gradually coming back to normal and we don’t want things to go out of hand. We will take things on a day-by-day basis," Sanjay Beniwal said.
Meanwhile, the two main political players in the area, AAP and BJP, continued to blame each other although both AAP’s MLA Raju Dhingan and BJP’s ex-MLA from Trilokpuri Sunil Kumar Vaidya asked people to refrain from actions that could aggravate the situation. "I have been talking to police officials to postpone the event, if not cancel it, considering the sensitivity of the situation. I am also speaking to people here to exercise restraint and not to go ahead with the pooja till the situation improves," Dhingan told ET.
Vaidya said that anything that could create tension between the communities should be avoided. Delhi Police have arrested 44 people in connection with the violence and 14 others who used the social media to spread misinformation or made hoax calls.
