Delhi High Court to hear JSPL case on coal bid rejection on August 25
Delhi HC has deferred until August 25 the hearing on a petition filed by JSPL challenging the govt’s decision to reject the company’s winning bids for two coal blocks in Chhattisgarh.

The court was due to hear the petition on Tuesday.
“The hearing did not take place due to some unavoidable circumstances. The hearing has now been fixed for August 25,” sources said.
The government had rejected Jindal Power's bids for Gare Palma IV/2&3 block and Tara blocks, and Vedanta-controlled Bharat Aluminium Company Ltd’s bid for Gare IV/1 mine as they were lower than the bids received for other blocks.
The two Gare Palma blocks were given to state-run Coal India for operation. Jindal Power and Balco have challenged the move in the Delhi High Court.
