NEW DELHI : Delhi BJP on Wednesday criticised the city government for its "inefficiency" in implementing schemes under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Mission.
BJP's city president Harsh Vardhan said the city government had sent 42 detailed project reports to the Union Urban Development Ministry out of which several were rejected and returned in 2006 for not fulfilling required conditions.
Vardhan alleged the Delhi government has been sitting on some of these projects for last two years.
"They have not forwarded the projects to the Central government for approval," Vardhan said here.
He said six projects of MCD which include redevelopment of Jama Masjid, improvement of the corridor in M G road and a project for redevelopment of Connaught Place in NDMC area are pending.
