Delhi government to move SC against discom order
The Delhi government is going to appeal in the SC against the high court order on the CAG audit of discoms, CM Arvind Kejriwal said.

The Delhi HC quashed on October 30 the government's decision to get the accounts of three private power distribution companies (discoms) audited by the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG).
Kejriwal made the announcement after the RWAs participating at the second convention of Confederation of NCR RWAs urged that the government not to give up the fight. "We are going to fight till the end and we will appeal to the Supreme Court against the high court's order," said the chief minister.
Rajiv Kakria, social activist and a resident of Greater Kailash, also stressed that the government should come up with a plan to make all power bill payments to a public sector bank. "Only discoms are allowed to collect cash payment and it leaves room for manipulation. Right now the government relies on the details given by the discoms. Once the payment is made to a public sector bank, official records will be available for the public," he said.
The RWAs also demanded that the government should involve them in the decision-making process. "We request the government to take our suggestions before coming up with a policy," said P S Jain, president of the confederation. Kejriwal pointed out that the government came up with the concept of mohalla sabhas only to serve this purpose.
The RWAs also raised issues like waste management, rainwater harvesting and power generation through different sources.
