NEW DELHI: The Delhi government has sought "innovative ideas" from people in the national capital to make 'car-free' day more "interesting" and asked them to send their suggestions via text messages.

Delhi Transport Minister Gopal Rai said people can send their innovative ideas to 9871215875 and the government will implement them.

Rai's move comes after Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia requested him to make the Car-Free Day more interesting so that people in large numbers participate in the event.

Sisodia said that Car-Fee Day, which is observed on 22nd of every month, is a very good initiative to bring down pollution levels.

"I request Gopal ji to make Car-free Day an interesting event so that people don't treat it like a monotonous affair," the Deputy Chief Minister, who participated in the Car-Free Day said today.
