Delhi government may institutionalise odd-even plan to improve air quality
The policy is likely to outline procedure for waste management in detail, as also ways to control dust in keeping with the National Green Tribunal (NGT) guidelines.

With Delhi becoming one of the most polluted cities in the world, the new policy may institutionalise the odd-even plan, to be implemented regularly based on prevailing air quality.
Delhi government sources told ET that the new policy would incorporate more stringent measures and may increase the NOC (No Objection Certificate) fee for commercial vehicles from Rs 2,000 to Rs 5,000.
