Delhi: Government launches VAT app for city traders
NEW DELHI: CM Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday launched a mobile app through which city traders can register with the VAT department of the Delhi government, a move that is aimed at boosting tax collection.

Kejriwal also took potshots at political opponents claiming that the BJP is not the party of traders but it is the Aam Aadmi Party which takes care of them even after coming to power.

Kejriwal said through the `DVAT M SEWA ' app, traders won't be required to submit application for registration at the department's office and justfill the form online. There is also no need for VAT inspector's visit at their premises. There are 41,000 pending requests awaiting registration with the VAT department.
