Delhi gang-rape case: Protesters gather at Jantar Mantar
People demanding stringent punishment for the rapists of the 23-year-old girl gathered at Jantar Mantar today on a day when the victim's body was flown in from Singapore and cremated here.

Young and old, men and women started gathering at the protest hotspot from morning demanding speedy and stringent punishment for the six men arrested in connection with the December 16 incident.
A group of protesters sat on a one-day hunger strike at Jantar Mantar while others shouted slogans holding placards in their hands.
India Gate and Raisina Hill where violent protests took place over the issue remained out of bounds for public as hundreds of policemen in riot gear guarded the area.
"Entire central vista including Rajpath, Vijay Chowk and all roads leading to India Gate will be closed for general traffic. Kamal Attaturk Marg has also been closed. All travellers are advised to avoid these roads," police said.
Ten Metro stations also remained closed as per a police advisory.
