Delhi elections 2015: Narendra Modi got Rs 10 lakh suit for himself, jhadu for you, says Rahul Gandhi
In a scathing attack on Kejriwal and Kiran Bedi, Rahul said the anti-graft movement led by Anna Hazare had people who are now in AAP and BJP.

Addressing an election rally at Shastri Park in northeast Delhi, Rahul said, “We were in power in Delhi for 15 years but there were no riots. BJP fuels communal tension wherever there are elections--be it Uttar Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Maharashtra or Delhi. I would like to remind you that when there were riots in Trilokpuri, BJP and Kejriwal were not there. It was Congress which was there with the people.“
At a time when the party is being written off as a third factor in a pitched battle between BJP and AAP, Thursday's rally is seen as an attempt by Congress to reach out to the minority community and people in unauthorized colonies.
Stressing on the party's pro-poor agenda like offering cheaper power and water and regularization of contract of labourers, Rahul clearly stated that the Congress was very much in the fight. He said that BJP and AAP were the two sides of the same coin.
He took a jibe at PM Narendra Modi accusing him of failure to fulfil the promise of bringing black money stacked abroad back to India.“He (Modi) had said I will bring back crores of black money , will deposit Rs 15 lakh in every account. I want to ask you, did you get Rs 15 lakh? You didn't get any thing but Modi wore a suit worth Rs 10 lakh during Obama's visit,“ he said.
Touching upon the concerns of the poor and taking a dig at the NDA's “Swacch Abhiyan“ he said, “When you asked for employment and demanded that inflation be brought down, he gave you a broom saying, `Clean India' and went to US and Australia.“
In a scathing attack on Kejriwal and Kiran Bedi, Rahul said the anti-graft movement led by Anna Hazare had people who are now in AAP and BJP. “They used to meet in Lodhi Park in the morning and do the planning“, he said hinting at a “conspiracy“ between BJP and AAP to weaken Congress.
