Delhi Elections 2015: BJP plans to release its 'vision document' today
"Instead of making vague and unrealistic promises, we will tell people what can be realistically done,'' said a senior BJP member.

Unlike AAP and Congress, this time BJP has decided to release a vision document instead of a manifesto.
In the past few days, senior party members have provided inputs on critical issues like women's safety, power, transport etc. "We will give a list of things that we plan to do in the next five years. "Instead of making vague and unrealistic promises like AAP and Congress, we will tell people what can be realistically done,'' said a senior BJP member.
Gadkari asked people not to fall for a "confused party of defused netas" and keep development of Delhi in mind while casting their vote. He reiterated the list of projects which his government has undertaken to upgrade the city's transport infrastructure and also set a timeframe for some of the projects.
"By June 1, the work on Delhi-Jaipur highway will be over. Of the 74 flyovers planned on the highway, work on 55 is over. We are planning similar highways to Meerut and Amritsar. Within two years, you will start water transport between Delhi and Agra. We are committed to regularize e-rickshaws. The process has already started,'' said Gadkari.
He also said the government was working on eastern peripheral expressways to decongest Ring Road. "Work will start by May and we will complete the project in three years," he said.
In Maharashtra and Haryana too, the party had come out with vision documents. Earlier, BJP had asked Union minister Harsh Vardhan to prepare the manifesto, but the plan was dropped later.
Apart from women's safety, the document will address the issue of electricity and water tariff, making the system more transparent to check corruption, more jobs for youth etc. But it may skip the issue of statehood.
