Delhi elections 2015: Arvind Kejriwal duly registered as a voter from New Delhi, says EC
As per the law, an assembly poll candidate must be an elector from any constituency in the state going to poll.

"We checked up the latest electoral roll for Delhi and found Kejriwal's name very much in the voters' list from B K Dutt Colony. Though he had briefly lived at Tilak Marg after taking over as chief minister last year, he applied for a change of address just ahead of the polls, first to V P House on Rafi Marg and then to BK Dutt Colony.

The EC is expected to validate Kejriwal's eligibility to contest the Delhi assembly poll when the plea challenging his candidature comes up for hearing next on February 4. "We will certify that Kerjiwal fulfils the criteria for contesting the Delhi elections, including the one that requires the candidate to have a Delhi domicile," an top commission official told TOI.
