Delhi Commission for Women member threatens to resign over AAP's Kumar Vishwas summons issue
NEW DELHI: Differences in Delhi Commission for Women came to the fore today over issuing of summons to AAP leader Kumar Vishwas following a complaint against him by a party volunteer as a member of the panel threatened to resign over the decision.

DCW member Juhi Khan slammed DCW chairperson Barkha Singh for issuing summons to Vishwas terming it as a move to defame Vishwas and AAP. She said she would resign from the Commission.

However, Singh defended the move to issue summons against Vishwas and his wife.

She said as Vishwas did not respond to the summons, fresh notices will be issued to him to depose before it by tomorrow.

The DCW yesterday had issued summons to Vishwas and his wife, asking them to appear before it by 3 PM today after an AAP volunteer approached it seeking its intervention in forcing the AAP leader to dispel rumours that he had an illicit relationship with her.

"We are issuing fresh summons to Vishwas," said Singh, a former Congress MLA.
