Japan is already funding some key projects in Delhi through Japan International Cooperation Agency, including Delhi Metro and a couple of projects of Delhi Jal Board. A key project that was discussed in the meeting was the dedicated elevated corridor for public transport. PWD is in the process of drawing up a plan for two such corridors and is likely to ask for financial assistance to build these. A delegation of high level government officers is expected to travel to Japan shortly . Sources said that officers would be visiting the Japanese ambassador in a few days to make a presentation on projects being developed or conceptualised by the AAP government.
