Delhi's air quality today dipped to 'very poor' category with Air Quality Index (AQI) dropping to 337 level. The AQI between 0 to 50 is considered good, between 51 and 'satisfactory', 101-200 as 'moderate', 201 to 300 'poor', 301 to 400 'very poor' and 500 and beyond is considered as 'severe'.

The air quality is predicted to remain in the 'very poor' category for the next two days. The air quality had improved in the last few days and had moved from "very poor" to "poor" category, but it is likely to deteriorate in next few days due to toxic air emanating from the fire at Bhalswa landfill site.

The stubble burning by farmers in neighbouring states of Punjab and Haryana has also worsened the air condition.
