Delay in drinking water schemes won't be tolerated: Vasundhara Raje
JAIPUR: Taking stock of ongoing works by Public Health and Engineering Department (PHED), Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje today warned that no slackness and delay in implementation of water projects and schemes would be tolerated.

"Drinking water is very important for everyone and any delay and slackness in implementation of water projects would not be tolerated. Officers or employees found guilty of doing so would be shifted and action against them would be ensured," she said during her pre-Budget 2016-17 review meeting here.

The schemes whose grants have been approved or released should start immediately any delay in execution of projects costly and people did not get benefit on time, Raje told the officers in presence of PHED Minister Kiran Maheshwari.

The Chief Minister also advised the PHED officials to make use of solar energy for running the projects.

However officials did not reveal the water projects which were being delayed or not started so far despite technical and budgetary clearance.
