BHOPAL: A local court today registered a case of defamation against Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee's chief spokesperson K K Mishra for levelling allegations of involvement of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and his family in the Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board scam.

Two days ago, Chouhan had filed a defamation suit against Mishra for levelling allegations against him and his wife.

The case was registered in the court of Special Additional Sessions Jugde Sanjeev Kalgaonkar, as the court found sufficient grounds in the petition for registering a case under section 500 of Indian Penal Code, prosecution sources said.

The court also issued a summons to Mishra and directed him to appear on July 28.

Last week Mishra had accused Chouhan and his family members involvement in the Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board scam.
