Deep Sidhu has been with Narendra Modi, Amit Shah: Mehbooba Mufti

SRINAGAR: Violence in New Delhi on Republic Day was orchestrated to defame farmers, former chief minister Mehbooba Mufti has said. At a brief interaction with journalists in Jammu on Thursday, she also said that the Centre should repeal the farm bills immediately.

Without naming actor-activist, Deep Sidhu, she alleged that the person responsible for violence was a BJP aide. He has been named in an FIR in Delhi as well. “We saw on TV what happened on Republic Day. The man who did it is an aide of BJP. He has been with the prime minister, home minister and campaigned for BJP in Sunny Deol’s election,” said Mufti.

“You make law which is against the fundamental rights… the bills were passed without consulting farmers,” said Mufti, vice-president of People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration, an amalgam formed by the regional parties in J&K to fight for restoration of special status and statehood.
