Declaration of Arjun Munda's candidature for Assembly by-poll in a few days

The formal announcement of the party candidate will be made in the next two to five days, Jharkhand BJP state president said on Thursday.

JAMSHEDPUR: Jharkhand Chief Minister Arjun Munda, who has six months to enter the Assembly since taking over in September, will in all probability contest the Kharswan Assembly by-election.

The formal announcement of the party candidate will be made in the next two to five days, Jharkhand BJP state president Dineshanand Goswami said on Thursday.

BJP MLA, Mangal Singh Soy had vacated the seat to pave way for Munda, who is currently an MP, to contest from Kharswan in Saraikela-Kharswan district to enter the state assembly.

Munda had represented the Kharswan constituency three times since 1995.

Goswami expressed confidence that all coalition partners would support Munda's candidature in Kharswan.
