Decision on PC George on Thursday: Kerala CM Oommen Chandy
KOCHI: Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy said that a final decision on whether to remove the Kerala Congress (M) MLA PC George from the post of chief whip will be taken on Thursday.

Kerala Congress chairman and finance minister in the UDF ministry, KM Mani, had written to the chief minister that the party was withdrawing its nominee, the party MLA PC George, from the post of government chief whip. KM Mani had wanted the chief minister to take a decision on the matter by Thursday.

Mani said that the decision to withdraw PC George was taken unanimously by the eight MLAs of the party. “It is a small punishment for George who has been crossing all limits,“ he added.

Meanwhile, PC George on Sunday said that KM Mani would not win this time from Palai. He said he has many things to say about some people in the party.“PC George will be stronger when he is out of power,“ he said. He also criticised the Joseph group in the party for keeping silent when action against him was being discussed.

The Kerala Congress (M) said the party would win from both Palai and Poonjar.

Replying to the charges against him, PJ Joseph said that the party MLAs were unanimous while taking a decision against George.
