JAMMU: BJP today demanded ex-gratia relief of Rs 10 lakh each to the next of the kin of those killed in firing by Pakistani troops and Rs 2 lakh each to the injured.

"We demand ex-gratia relief of Rs 10 lakh to next kin of deceased killed due to shelling and Rs 2 lakh to each injured," BJP state vice-president Ramesh Arora said today.

Arora visited houses damaged in the firing and also met families of those killed and injured in Arnia belt.

Five villagers were killed and 29 injured in heavy mortar shelling and firing by Pakistani troops yesterday.

Arora also said that Pakistan army has been indulging in unprovoked firing.
