Day 2: AAP's anarchic protests get more chaotic, police forced to lathi charge
NEW DELHI: With Aam Aadmi Party ( AAP) supporters breaking the barricades at their protest venue in the national capital, Delhi Police was on Tuesday forced to lathi charge.

"Aam Aadmi Party supporters broke barricades at Rafi Marg while clashing with the police," reported Times Now. The 'unruly' behaviour compelled Delhi Police to lathi charge, said Times Now.

As the situation at AAP government's dharna turned 'ugly', Manish Sisodia blamed Delhi Police for making the situation 'unruly'. Earlier in the day, a scuffle took place between AAP workers & Delhi Police after they were blocked from heading towards Rail Bhawan.

As stones were pelted on cops Rail Bhawan where Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is staging a dharna, Delhi Police had warned it will take action against the 'violent' Aam Aadmi Party supporters.

Kejriwal launched a scathing attack on Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde, blaming him for the 'utter chaos'. Attacking the Home Minister, he said he will not shift to Jantar Mantar as requested by the police and the Centre will have to accept his demand for action against the policemen who had refused to act against the alleged drug and prostitution racket.

"Have the people of Delhi given them the right to make decisions for them? No.They have given me the right. How can Shinde ask me where to sit? I will tell him where to sit," he said.

Amidst the escalating drama the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) said that it will not revoke decision on not suspending the cops.

The Chief Minister along with his six cabinet colleagues and scores of supporters spent the night outside the Rail Bhavan, the venue of their protest, braving the cold winter.

Police said that with some 200-300 AAP volunteers entering the area near the Rail Bhavan, the crowd has swelled two to three times making the situation chaotic.

An AAP worker was injured and police was seen shifting him to the ambulance.
